FundAssist: An online toolkit designed to help non-government alcohol and other drug organisations prepare, plan, and write funding applications
FundAssist is an online interactive resource that features:11 sections which comprehensively guide users through all the stages of the funding application process including: identifying need; defining organisational successes and uniqueness; understanding common criteria used to evaluate funding applications; composing and implementing long-term funding strategies; developing accurate budgets; and writing persuasive funding applications
- A database of potential funding sources
- Over 50 skills-based activities
- Links to over 100 other resources including books, toolkits, and YouTube Videos.
Although primarily written for the non-government alcohol and other drug sector, the principles and activities in FundAssist are applicable to any organisation and/or individual involved in seeking funding opportunities.

FundAssist was commissioned by the Network of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies (NADA) on behalf of the AOD peak bodies. It was developed by the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) and forms part of NCETA’s work on workforce development.
