The harmful effects of alcohol and drug (AOD) use extend to the workplace and may negatively impact:
- the health, safety and well-being of individual workers
- productivity
- the safety and well-being of the workplace in general.
Governments, employers and unions are increasing efforts to ensure the health and safety of workers and improve the productivity and safety of workplaces.
NCETA has an extensive program of research that can inform the development of practical resources and effective strategies to minimise AOD related risk to workplace safety, productivity and worker well-being.
