Use of telehealth by Australian AOD organisations
Seeking research participants: Client perspectives on undertaking AOD counselling via phone or video
Are you someone who has undergone alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment counselling via phone or video and face-to-face within the past 12 months? We want to hear from you!
About the study:
Our research project aims to explore clients’ experiences with undertaking AOD counselling via phone or video call (sometimes called telehealth). By participating in our study, you can help us gain valuable insights into how AOD organisations can use phone and video to provide counselling, and when it may be appropriate to do so.
Who can participate?
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have undertaken AOD treatment counselling via phone or video AND face-to-face sessions within the past 12 months.
- Aged 18 years or older and live in Australia.
- Are willing to share experiences and insights.
Participation in the study will include:
Participating in a confidential 30-minute interview discuss your experiences. Interviews will be over the phone or Microsoft Teams. You will receive a $30 voucher in recognition of your time.
Who is conducting the study?
This project has been funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care and is being conducted by researchers from the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA), Flinders University with support from a broader project reference group.
