Alcohol & Drugs in the Workplace

  • The health, safety and well-being of individual workers
  • Productivity
  • The safety and well-being of the workplace in general.

Governments, employers and unions are increasing efforts to ensure the health and safety of workers and improve the productivity and safety of workplaces. 

For over a decade, NCETA has engaged in an on-going program of research to inform the development of practical resources and effective strategies to minimise AOD related risk to workplace safety, productivity and worker well-being. Key issues of relevance to the identification and management of alcohol and other drugs (AOD) in the workplace include:
