NCETA Symposium 2024

NCETA delivered a Symposium showcasing their current work on Thursday 7 March 2024 that was offered in person in the Studio Rooms at Flinders University, Bedford Park and online via zoom. Click here to see the program.
The first half of the day covered key areas of research with guest speakers Dr Robert Stirling, NCETA’s new Advisory Board Chair, Associate Professor Caitlin Hughes and Professor Simone Pettigrew along with some of the NCETA team including PhD students providing updates on current projects. The second half of the day was focussed on workforce development including a panel discussion on workforce registration with Dr Sam White from Addiction Practitioner’s Association Aotearoa in New Zealand and members of NCETA’s Advisory Board. The afternoon also included a showcase on workforce development resources by the team that generated a lot of discussion followed by a great presentation by Joep van Agteren providing some easy techniques on how to improve your mental health.
