NCETA's 2025-28 Strategic Plan

Strat_Plan.jpgNCETA has a proud history that extends over 30 years of conducting impactful research to improve public health and practice in alcohol and other drugs (AOD).

This strategy has been based on many conversations that we have had and will continue to have with the AOD sector. We are proud of our achievements over the past 30 years and are well positioned to continue building the evidence base to reduce AOD related harms. We work to strengthen the capacity of the AOD workforce, promote evidence based best practice, and identify and respond to emerging trends.

NCETA’s reputation as a leader in the AOD workforce has continued to grow and we are recognised as being at the forefront of AOD workforce research and development and workplace AOD issues. The current Strategic Plan consolidates the achievements from the previous Strategic Plan and continues to firmly establish workforce development research and evaluation as our core business.

NCETA is committed to working in partnership with a range of key stakeholders and other research centres to improve health, safety, wellbeing and related outcomes for people who use drugs and the AOD workforce.

On behalf of the NCETA Strategic Advisory Board and team, we are pleased to present the 2025-28 NCETA Strategic Plan.
