Booze and Baby Boomers: the new risk group
Listen to Professor Ann Roche's interview with The Wire about concerns that risky alcohol consumption among older Australians across three different age demographics (50-59, 60-69 and 70+) was being largely overlooked by health care professionals, policy makers, and carers. Tailored strategies are needed to identify the indicators of alcohol-related problems and risk perceptions for their older clients, whilst providing age-appropriate responses and guidelines.
The findings were also presented at the recent Australian Public Health Conference in Adelaide.
