AOD training

NCETA can provide alcohol and other drugs (AOD) training to your staff. The ABC of AOD training package provides participants with an understanding of the types of AOD in Australia and the problems that may be associated with their use.

Training packages can also be customised to suit your organisation’s need and include the following topics or other specific AOD information:

  • The various types of drugs and emerging drugs
  • Rates of consumption
  • Health impacts of consumption
  • Reasons people use alcohol and drugs
  • Alcohol and other drug dependence, the who and why
  • Stigma and the impact on help seeking
  • Strategies to reduce harms from alcohol and other drugs
  • Treatment options for people and their families affected by alcohol and other drug dependence
